Community Coach
(Full-time permanent contract)
Salary- Subject in line with national minimum wage
Hours- 37.5 pw with regular evening and weekend work
Stenhousemuir Football Club is inviting applications for the position of Community Coach.
The purpose of the role is to work as a Head Coach across a range of programmes within the highly acclaimed Warriors in the Community programme which the football club operates. The club has one of the largest community programmes of any club in Scotland, with around 500 people from the local community taking part in football and education sessions each week, over 10,000 people involved annually and approximately 250,000 visitors to Ochilview Park each year.
The Club is looking for an individual with experience of working with all age groups and ability levels within a community football setting. The successful applicant must demonstrate the drive, passion and energy required to deliver first class community football sessions and be a positive role model to the young people within the programme.
The successful applicant will report directly to the Club’s two Football Development Officers.

Main Responsibilities
The role of the Community Coach is to support the function of the Warriors in the Community programme by acting as a Head Coach across a range of programmes. Working under 2 Football Development Officers to perform the duties required to positively impact the community programmes whilst also aiming to help achieve the goals of the organisation.
Pre-School Football / Mini Maroons (30%)
- Planning & preparing sessions
- Organising sessions / keeping times and days on calendar
- Mini Maroons / managing number of participants
- Working with the FDO- Children’s Section to prepare a Mini Maroon Curriculum
- Increase number of participants in the programme with potential opening of new classes
Adults & Youth Programmes (25%)
- Planning & delivering sessions with our Twilight Leagues/Mental Health / Walking Football Programmes
- Entering competitive leagues / competitions for both programmes and travelling with the squads
- Organising travel / transport for away days
- Preparing strips
- Increase the number of participants to grow the programmes
Young Maroons & Afterschool Football (25%)
- Planning and delivering football sessions
- Delivering weekly after school sessions per week in various schools in the local cluster schools
- Planning and delivery of Wednesday afternoon Young Maroon sessions
Holiday Camps (10%)
- Delivering a high standard of coaching to our Holiday Camp participants during Easter/ Summer/ October/ Christmas Camp
Community Select Teams coaching cover (10%)
- Supporting the community team coaches with the delivery of training sessions when required
- Helping CST Teams on a Saturday morning when available
