Stenhousemuir travel to Station Park to take on Forfar tomorrow where the Warriors will take on the Loons for the final time in the league this season. 

Stenhousemuir will be hoping to build on their 0-0 draw with The Spartans last week at Ochilview. Both sides had chances and the Warriors had a strong penalty claim but neither side could find the breakthrough in what was a cagey match. 

Gary Naysmith previewed the match saying “It will be a difficult game. They had a good win against Clyde. They’ve only lost one of the last 10 put we’ll prepare for them and put out a team we believe can get 3 points.”

Darren Jamieson also previewed the match saying “It will be another tough game. They’ve picked up a lot of points recently. We’ll prepare as normal, check the analysis do the work and hopefully go up there and pick up three points.”

Stenhousemuir have met Forfar three times this season and have been unbeaten against Ray Mackinnon’s men. The two sides played out a very entertaining 0-0 draw in the opening game this season. The Warriors then came from behind to win 3-1 at Station Park in November. Then on the first game of the new year, the Warriors were 2-1 victors at Ochilview.

Forfar have picked up form recently and manager Ray Mackinnon picked up Februrary’s manager of the month award. Forfar have not tasted defeat since the loss at Ochilview on the 6^th of January and have only lost one of their last 12 in the league. 

Stenhousemuir edge the head-to-head record with 87 wins to Forfar’s 78. However, at Station Park Forfar have the better record with 46 wins to the Warriors’ 30.

The Warriors will have to watch out for Stuart Morrison from set pieces. He has eight goals from center back this season.

BY CAR

The ground is located right on the outskirts of town. In fact the Main Stand, backs onto fields.
From the A90 take the A926 towards Forfar (which the THIRD turn off you will see for Forfar) at the Kirriemuir Junction flyover. At the next mini-roundabout turn right into Brechin Road, then turn left at the next mini roundabout into Market Street and then 2nd left into Carseview Road for the ground. There is only limited parking available at the ground, otherwise there is the nearby Muir Street car park which is a first left, or street parking.

BY TRAIN

Even though the ground is called Station Park, there is in fact no railway station in Forfar itself. The nearest stations are in Dundee or Arbroath, that are both around 14 miles away!

The best option is to get a train to Dundee then 20 or 20A service from Dundee Bus Station to Forfar (via Kirriemuir services passed end of Staion Park road – get off at County Buildings).
Otherwise get off down the town centre and walk towards the north end of Castle Street. Take a right up the side road round the back of Tescos untill you reach the Caledonian Bar, cross the road and follow it to Station Park!
