Warriors reaccredited with SFA Platinum Legacy Award
Some positive news coming out of the club in the past 7 days was the announcement that Stenhousemuir and Warriors in the Community have been reaccredited with a Platinum Legacy Award by the SFA, the highest level possible!
The legacy awards are a quality mark put in place by the SFA to both ensure adherence to standards in a range of community development criteria and also to provide recognition to those organisations which deserve it.
This award is testament not only to the ethos of the club as a community anchor organisation but also to the hard work put in by everyone involved in our footballing community. So thank you!

Kelty Hearts 2-0 Warriors
Back on Saturday, the Warriors faced their toughest test of the season so far on paper as they faced unbeaten runaway league leaders Kelty Hearts away from home. Both teams were on good runs of form heading into the match, however only one team would be able to come away with all three points.
It was the Warriors that kicked off in Fife and started as the better team. It only took the boys 3 minutes to test Jamieson in the Kelty goal as O’Reilly flicked the ball to Brown just outside the box and the Warriors number 11 smashed an effort towards goal, however it was straight at the keeper.
It took our hosts about 6 minutes to get going in the match but they were lethal as soon as they were as they took the lead in the 8th minute. Barron was slipped through on goal via a tidy reverse pass, before he slotted the ball low past the onrushing Wilson for 1-0.
Kelty now seemed to be slightly on top, however the Warriors still provided some goal threat. A long ball from Wilson was flicked down to Christie inside the box only for his effort on goal to be deflected into the side netting.
Kelty nearly doubled their lead shortly before half time as Agyeman was played through on goal before dinking the ball over Wilson as he tried to narrow the angle. The attacker’s effort would surely have found the net if it wasn’t for its lack of power which allowed Crighton to get back and clear the danger.
Into the second half and once again it was the Warriors who started the brightest with O’Reilly causing problems for Kelty down the left side. However once again Kelty scored early in the half against the run of play. This time it was Cardle with the finish past Wilson after the ball was flicked to him by Kallum Higginbotham.
Kelty would go on to have several more shots at goal, however the back line and Wilson would prove to be a match for anything that was sent their way. As for the Warriors O’Reilly would come the closest on 85 minutes however his 20 yard effort would curl just the wrong side of the post.
Kelty would then see out the remaining stages to secure the 2-0 victory. A tough game for the Warriors against a strong opposition as the recent winning streak comes to an end. Next up for the boys is a break from league action as we have Airdrieonians in the Scottish Cup.

Saturday 3pm – Airdrieonians (H)
This Saturday, the Warriors will get a break from league action as we turn our attention to the Scottish Cup where we will play host to Airdrieonians at Ochilview.
The Diamonds currently sit second in League one just two points off leaders Cove Rangers and will no doubt prove to be a tough test for the boys as we look to secure our progression to the fourth round.
Both sides come into this one having lost 2-0 to their respective league leaders having been in good runs of form prior to last weekend. The Warriors had won five on the bounce, whereas Airdrieonians had won four from five, however they only defeated floundering Falkirk 3-0 which will surely only serve to encourage the boys.
Another encouraging fact is that the Warriors actually boast a strong recent record against Airdrie having won three of the previous four encounters between the two sides.
The Diamonds will no doubt bring a large and vocal away crowd to Ochilview so we need your support now more than ever to help see the boys over the line. Under 16s cost £5, concessions cost £10 and adults are £15. Pay at the gate is in operation but some tickets can also be pre-purchased via the FanBase website or app.
Additionally, the wee bar will be open from 12:00 onwards to serve both home and away supporters.

Last time out – Gleniffer Thistle 2-9 Warriors
Back on Sunday the Warriors were on the road as they travelled to face Gleniffer Thistle in their latest SWF Championship South fixture.
The Warriors had no fewer than three different trialists on show as they pulled off their best performance of the season as they scored 9 (yes nine) goals to take home all three points.
The Warriors took the lead in the 12th minute but quickly found themselves pegged back to 1-1. Despite this the ladies bounced back and were 4-1 up by half time with a hattrick for one of the trialists and a single goal for another.
Second half the Warriors were absolutely rampant as they played some stunning football and ran out 9-2 victors with each trialist getting on the scoresheet and scoring 7 between them. Wilson and Ralston grabbed the other two goals for the Warriors.
The result means the Warriors climb two places in the table up to 12th ahead of BSC Glasgow and United Glasgow, and only 3 points behind Falkirk. As for Gleniffer they remain pointless at the bottom of the table.
The Warriors now have a 7 week break from league action but will be playing some friendlies during this time to keep the players fresh and ticking over.

Warriors tie Rutherglen in the cup
Some other ladies team news to bring you this week is that on Tuesday the Warriors entered the draw for the Scottish Women’s Cup at the second round.
We were ball number 26 and drew ourselves a home tie against Rutherglen from the SWFL Central/South East division.
The game is set to be played on the 19th of December with more details to come in due course.

Continuing on with our community and charity work, we have details to bring to you regarding our latest help initiative.
Stenhousemuir FC and Warriors in the Community are proud to be working alongside local charity KLSB to support our community during the festive period.
We will have a food donation station available between 2pm – 3pm at our next 3 home games; 27th November, 4th December, 11th December
We will also welcome donations at Ochilview Park during the week or weekends:
Donations between 9am – 5pm can be handed into the main office
Donations between 5pm – 10pm or weekends please look out for the designated donation station in the tunnel within the stand.
